Valley of the kings

The paramount reason to visit Luxor should be this place itself. The Valley of the Kings is the city's most famous attraction, and for the past 100 years, it has been like that. Rolling around the spectacular burial chambers, the era of the place will certainly be forgotten. The Ancient Egyptians named it Ta-Maat or the place of justice and truth. The west bank of Luxor, which was part of ancient Thebes, was a long, narrow impair. It was the burial ground of almost all of the New Kingdom Pharaohs.

Hatshepsut Temple

The Queen Hatshepsut's Temple, one of Egypt's most spectacular monuments. Enjoy the temple's custom engraving for the most powerful queen in Egypt. Among Egyptian temples, the temple of Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahary is exceptional. It is built in three terraces to mark the
coronation of Hatshepsut. The second terrace depicts Hatshepsut's famous expedition to the land of Punt (Somalia).

Colossi of Memnon

The very first monuments visitors see as they explore the west bank are the two faceless Colossi of Memnon, historically representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III, rising magnificently about
18m from the plain. At the eastern entrance to the funeral temple of Amenophis III, the largest on the west bank, these glorious colossi are standing firm, each carved from a single slab of
stone and weighing 1000 tons.

Karnak Temple

The Karnak temple is a celebrated ancient temple in the country, with its majestic artworks and massive statues, it is a must-visit place in Luxor. It is linked by a sphinx-guarded route to the other temple; it took around 500 years to construct. Do lookout for the light and sound show in
the temple later. The Karnak Temple is a vast complex of temples to which hundreds of pharaohs have built their own buildings. Between the Middle Kingdom and the early Christian period, the region was constantly developing. The enormous size of the complex, as well as its numerous architectural, creative, and qualitative details, makes it a valuable historical site and asset for understanding the evolution of ancient Egypt, and is therefore vital to its preservation.
