The Massive Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx

The popular pyramids of Giza are the number one attraction in Cairo, it would take you around a half-day to explore the mammoth structures in the city. These fourth dynasty funeral temples have been outshining travelers for generations right on the edge of the capital, on the Giza Plateau, and continue to be one of the main highlights of the world.
Many scholars say that the Great Sphinx dates back to the 4th dynasty and gives the ownership to Khafre. Although some people believe that it was built by Khafre's elder brother Redjedef to immortalize their father 'Khufu'  whose pyramid at Giza is known as the Great Pyramid. The Great Sphinx is said to be about 240 feet long and 66 feet high, it is among the world's largest architectures. It is popular because it has been shaped in the body of a lion with the head of a human. You simply can't ignore a visit here, despite the humidity, the dust, and the tourist rush.

The complex of King Zoser in Saqqara

Claimed to be the oldest monumental stonework structure in the world, the rare Djoser pyramid in Saqqara is part of the 3rd Dynasty King Djoser's mortuary site. It is a distinctive stepped pyramid with 6 levels, developed by the architect Imhotep. Then you can go to witness the majestic Pyramid of King Titi, and access it from inside to see the burial chamber and see the impressive Hieroglyphics written over its walls. We will also visit some of the tombs of the Nobles to see if the colors are still in excellent condition.

The Red Pyramid of Dahshur

The Red Pyramid at Dahshur, situated a couple of miles from Saqqara, was constructed for Pharaoh Snefru, the father of Khufu, for whom the Great Pyramid of Giza was built. The Red Pyramid is the very first authentic pyramid and all Egyptian pyramids have the second largest base. What makes it even more fascinating, beyond the possibility to see the burial chamber, is that it can be completely accessed. There is something unique about exploring inside the pyramid's dark and silent passageways.
