The Roman Amphitheater

Roman theater in Kom El-Deka, a marble theater that once seated 800 spectators with galleries, sections of mosaic flooring, and a pleasure garden, all surrounded by Roman baths and villas. In the 4th century AD, the Roman Amphitheatre that we see today in Alexandria was built and was a common characteristic of the Greco-Roman era. Amphitheaters were unique roofed theatres constructed during the period of the Romans in Egypt to host musical ceremonies and
poetry competitions.

The Library of Alexandria

The Alexandria Bibliotheca, is built on the site of the famous ancient library and is home to 8 million books. The interiors of the Main Library, with a total area of 13,625 square meter, is divided into seven levels, each with a reading room, a shelving area, and a reference desk. It is considered to be the world's largest 2000-seat Reading Hall. A cascade-like impression is provided by the unique mastaba architecture of the interior stages, with each reading area attractively scaled and thinkable to the human mind.

Experience the elegance of the majestic Qaitbay Fort. Guarding the eastern harbor of Alexandria since 1480, this mini fort is probably an alternative to the lighthouse of Pharos. To defend the Egyptian ports from invaders, this fort was built and is currently just a monument that represents the city's history.

Catacombs of Kom el-Shoqafa

It is a fine example of the Alexandrian synthesis of Egyptian and Greco-Roman patterns. This style dates back to the 2nd century AD and was discovered around the year 1900. These catacombs are set out by spiral stairs on many layers of chambers that are interconnected. The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa are located slightly west of Pompey's Pillar and are the largest and most significant burial sites in Egypt. It comprises 3 burial chambers with three recesses, and a sarcophagus is contained in each recess.
