Dandara Temple

Visit Egypt's oldest surviving temple. Witness spectacular scenes depicting the Roman emperor Trajan paying tribute to the goddess Hathor of Ancient Egypt and other legendary engravings
that adorn this magnificent Graeco-Roman temple. Around 60 km north of Luxor, Dendera is situated on the west bank of the Nile, opposite the present provincial town of Qena. Named Lunet or Tantere and regarded by Ancient Egyptians as the headquarters of the 6th Nome in Upper Egypt, it was also known to the Greeks as Tentyris.

Seti Temple in Abydos

Seti I was one of the greatest rulers and leaders in Egypt; he designed one of the most majestic temples in Abydos, and in Karnak, the Great Hypostyle Hall. The art and design commissioned during the rule of Seti is rich, no cost was overlooked, and attention to detail is clear. Sadly, he died before his temple was completed, and his son Ramses II finished it.
